“The punches that don’t knock you out are the ones you feel the most.” ~Joseph Benavidez
As the year is inching to a close and each new day holds changes in seasonal scenery and weather, I love finding moments that transcend the ordinary, like savoring a lovely Brut Rosé lakeside, on a crisp autumn evening as the sun dips below the horizon. Times like this where wine and nature harmoniously converge to create an unforgettable experience, can touch your soul in the most memorable ways.
“Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.” ~Harriet Beecher Stowe
A sunny Fall afternoon spent with three of my favorite things; books, chocolate and bourbon.
As wine lovers many of us have changed our Halloween traditions, trading in the candy bags for something a bit more sophisticated. Instead of trick-or-treating, we embrace the season with a more refined, grown-up twist, enjoying an exceptional bottle of wine and I have a couple of Halloween inspired wines to share that will really get you into the #Halloweenspirit .
Basking in the warmth of the sun's embrace, I can't help but think that this past sunny weekend here in the PNW was akin to a Summer's farewell kiss. This got me thinking about the age-old rule "No white after Labor Day," and similarly, how many of us have been conditioned to believe that there's no place for Rosé wine after the end of summer. But like many others, I challenge these notions. The habits of sticking to a rigid wine calendar doesn’t always let us make the most of each moment. Why restrict ourselves based on the calendar? Is this really the way to enjoy wine to its fullest?
