As the late summer days started to blend into the early hints of fall, I made a conscious decision to unplug from almost all social media and focus on what truly matters in life—my family. It all began with a weekend getaway to #OlympicNationalPark , a place where nature's beauty and the echoes of time intertwined seamlessly. Our retreat led us to the historic #LakeQuinaultLodge , a charming gem that has stood proudly since 1926.

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's all too easy to get caught up in the demands, responsibilities and unexpected curveballs that come our way. Yet even with everything going on, it's vital to carve out moments for ourselves, to indulge in the passions that truly set our souls on fire. For me, that has meant dedicating time to focus on something that I love to do, creating new recipes and selecting just the right wine or spirit pairings.
