I've always had a penchant for wine. The complexity of its flavors, the way it pairs with various dishes, and the sense of sophistication it brings to any occasion have drawn me in time and time again. As the late summer days started to blend into the early hints of fall, I made a conscious decision to unplug from almost all social media and focus on what truly matters in life—my family. Our retreat led us to the historic #LakeQuinaultLodge , a charming gem that has stood proudly since 1926.

The history of Colorado's wine production is a tale of resilience and transformation. Dating back to the late 1800s, the state's viticultural efforts faced challenges ranging from Prohibition to harsh climate conditions. However, the modern era has seen a remarkable resurgence.
During my recent trip to #WallaWalla I had the chance to chat and do a wine tasting with Co-Owner and winemaker David Hess of the new winery, Turtle.
